How to Create an External Time Clock?

What Is the Purpose of This Feature?

To simplify the recording of your employees' worked hours, you can create an external time clock. This external time clock, accessible via a URL link, allows your employees to log their hours or activate their time clock even if they are not logged into their Altee account. Simply copy and share the URL link so they can access it.

Steps to Follow:

How to Create an External Time Clock:

  • Go to the Worked Hours module, then to the Time Entry and Clock-ins tab. At the bottom, you will find the External Time Clock Management option.
  • Click on the Create a Time Clock button and name the time clock.
  • Click on the time clock you just created, then activate it by toggling the Inactive Time Clock button.
  • Next, click on the Add Employees button.
  • Select the employees who will have access to this time clock and click Add. The list of selected employees will appear at the bottom.
  • Once the time clock is active, you will receive the URL link for the time clock. After adding employees, your time clock will be fully functional. Simply copy and share the URL.

Notes:

  • You can remove an employee from the list by clicking the button on the right.
  • Employees whose work hour recording type is set to None or Block Hour Entry will not appear in the list of employees to be added to the external time clock.
  • You can create multiple time clocks for employees in different groups or locations.
